Leo and Paul

My struggle to be with you- Part 1

This is the most difficult part of my story to tell, Leo.

I told your mother that our marriage was over, I could never be happy with her, but that we should still live close to each other so you could be close to both of us.

Your mother reacted badly and said some things that made me worry a lot. I was scared what she would do to herself and you, so I tried to run away with you. However she found out and stopped me. She took your passport, went to the police with you and told them lies, so they would stop me from seeing you.

She wanted to leave Australia with you and go back to Taiwan. I knew that if she went back to Taiwan with you, she would stop me from seeing you again. I was so scared of losing you.

I went to the court to ask them to stop your mother taking you back to Taiwan. But the judge was on the side of your mother, because you were born in Taiwan and also because courts usually take the side of the mother.

While the court was deciding, you spent half the time with me in our house in Noosa, and half the time with your mother in a hotel.  I knew what the court would decide, and was so desperate not to lose you, so I decided to run away with you.
